Three Services, One Memphis Warehouse
Fulmer Logistics brings pallet storage, sort and segregation, and e-commerce fulfillment together in one Memphis facility. Each service addresses a different stage of inventory movement: holding goods, organizing them for their next destination, or preparing individual orders. You can discuss a single requirement or a program that combines the three. The starting point is what arrives at the warehouse, how it needs to be stored, and what must happen before it leaves.
Our family-owned business has operated since 1919. The service pages below describe the work in more detail, while this overview helps distinguish the options. Storage and fulfillment are not interchangeable: a shipper moving complete pallets has different handling needs from an online brand sending individual items. Sorting can connect either workflow when inbound inventory needs a different configuration for distribution.
Pallet & Ambient Warehouse Storage
Pallet-in/pallet-out storage covers receiving palletized freight, checking it in against your account, putting it away, and staging outbound loads for collection. It suits businesses that ship and store full pallets rather than requiring every item to become an individual order. Our warehouse-storage page describes programs ranging from a handful of pallet positions to full-trailer volumes, with month-to-month flexibility as requirements change.
The 300,000 sq ft facility has 130,000 sq ft available now. Storage is ambient: clean, dry warehouse space for goods that do not require refrigerated or frozen conditions. Consumer products, building materials, industrial supplies, and general merchandise are among the examples described on the storage page. If temperature control is essential to your product, ambient storage is not a substitute. For preparation guidance, read our pallet storage best practices article.
Sort & Segregation
Sort and segregation prepares inventory that does not arrive in the configuration needed for its next move. Mixed pallets can be broken into specific SKUs, counted, and labeled. Bulk receipts can be separated into store-, region-, or customer-specific groupings. Existing inventory can also be reconfigured or relabeled without sending it to another facility for that work.
This service suits shippers whose distribution requirements involve more than storing an intact pallet. The service page describes both one-time projects and recurring work. Planning begins with what is coming in and what the finished inventory needs to look like. The agreed scope identifies how goods should be grouped and labeled. When goods are already in storage with Fulmer, sorting can be carried out alongside that storage program rather than treated as an unrelated operation.
E-Commerce Fulfillment & Kitting
Pick-and-pack fulfillment is the work of pulling the items for an individual order, packing them, and preparing them for outbound carriers. It suits online brands that need an order-level workflow rather than full-pallet dispatch alone. Storage and picking take place in the same Memphis facility, so inventory can be received, stored, and turned into orders under one roof.
Kitting combines multiple SKUs into a ready-to-sell unit. Examples on the fulfillment page include bundles, promotional sets, subscription boxes, gift packs, and retail-ready assortments. Kits can be prepared ahead of a campaign or assembled on a regular cadence. The same page describes flexible warehouse labor for changing order volumes, seasonal peaks, and product launches. Discuss your order flow and peak requirements with the team so the fulfillment setup reflects the work your business needs.
How the Services Fit Together
A program can start with ambient pallet storage, use sorting to organize mixed inventory, and then draw on pick-and-pack or kitting when products need to leave as customer orders. Another program may need storage and full-pallet dispatch only. The right combination depends on your goods and outbound requirements, not on adding every service. Share estimated pallet volumes, the services you need, and how inventory should leave the facility when you request a quote. Fulmer can then discuss storage, handling, and any project-specific work together.
